Jerome Hamilton has over the past two decades (since 1990’s) been a prominent name in the forefront of Jamaican and Caribbean Entertainment. In his career, Jerome has worked in many roles that include; agent, publicist, music publisher, production consultant, stage manager, road manager to name a few.
From his early years at The University of the West Indies where he served as Creative Arts Chairperson of the Guild of Students, Jerome has displayed an interest in utilizing his initiative and leadership skills to the benefit of the Entertainment Industry. After a three year stint at JAMPOP under the guidance of veteran Production Consultant Ken Nelson, Jerome was a founding member of Solid Agency in 1991.
In 1997, after parting ways with Solid Agency, Jerome moved on with new partners to found Headline Entertainment an entity which is currently one of the foremost Public Relations and Booking firms in the Caribbean.
Jerome Hamilton through Headline Entertainment is a member of the Small Business Association and currently sits on the boards of; Headline Entertainment, BreakThrough Communications, HamDel Agency, The Quorum and Pyramid Entertainment; a Barbados based Entertainment Company, to facilitate regional talent development.
Highly regarded for his ‘rolodex’, one of his greatest assets is his ability to network. As a result, his skills and services are in high demand by artistes, record labels, agencies and significantly corporate entities eager to access the rich cultural association the music industry can lend to its products. Over the course of his 25 year career, he has worked with international reggae stars like Coco Tea, Barrington Levy, Cutty Ranks, Cham, T.O.K, the Marley Brothers and Sean Paul.
Jerome with his easygoing personality is the proud father of a daughter and can oftentimes be seen cycling to get snacks for his staff or just to run minor errands. It is this behavior that facilitates the good relationship that he has with his employees, Artistes that he represents and industry key players. Headline Entertainment has opened its doors to interns from various Universities and Colleges to facilitate their education of the industry and as a member of The Quorum Agency, Jerome volunteers as a chef for the children at The Sir John Golding Rehab Centre which he supports through the promotion of Heineken “Good Times”.
Jerome has exercised his talent on every continent on Earth except Antarctica with extensive experience across the Caribbean Region. Through his expertise and leadership of an innovative team of seventeen persons, Jerome has cultivated successful relationships in the Entertainment Industry and has been called on to consult on major music festivals and events including the 2007 World Cup Cricket opening ceremony, viewed by billions around the world, the JAMAICA Jazz and Blues Festival, Reggae Sumfest, The St. Kitts Music Festival, The Turks and Caicos Music and Culture Festival, Romantic Rhythms in Antigua and Reggae on the Hill in Barbados.
